​This talented quartet are: Rakuto Kurano, performer and composer with an interest in promoting NZ composers; Henry Nicholson, whose special focus is on 16th-17th century experimental renaissance, baroque and contemporary compositions; Mekaela Fleener, teacher and musician with particular interest in music therapy; and Aya McLarty, Japanese-Jamaican prize-winning violinist and trombonist.

I'm particularly proud of the accomplishments of these four young violinists, very much at the start of what will no doubt be meaningful careers in music and as violinists.The selection of music is a colourful representation of old and new, and promises to make up a highly enticing and engaging programme.
