Welcome to The Magic Carpet Music Trust

​We are a charitable trust bringing classical music to all corners of New Zealand by creating pathways for young people, intergenerational involvement, and inclusion of all people.

​To make classical music more accessible throughout New Zealand by coordinating concerts and events in rural and urban areas.

A Little Night Music

Mark Menzies (violin), Rakuto Kurano (piano), Sofia Scales (voice).
A variety of works such as the Adagio from Sonata in E Major by J.S. Bach, Sonata in C major by Antonio Vivaldi, Nocturne by Lili Boulanger, Gravity by Sara Bareilles, and more.

Some who attended who had never listened to classical instruments before were surprised at how much they actually liked the music and how willing they would be to attend further similar events. A teenager who has no interest in music, thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and is keen to attend any further concerts.
